Talk and Act
Not surprisingly many are hunting for new ways on saving money. And rightly so too given the current state of the economy. What people may not know. You just have to know where to search and what to do to get the most out of your grocery dollar. There are a number of ways to save and the main one I recommend is by using coupons. I know a lot of people condemn the use of coupons as a waste of time due to the fiddly nature of cutting out coupons and even printing them off the Net. I have even often heard critics say you cannot really save enough money to make up for the time finding the coupons. However, using coupons each time you shop for your family will save hundreds of dollars every month. It?s a guaranteed strategy.
Here are a few tips on how to save significant amounts of money on groceries:
Use the Internet often to find free coupons. Often times, coupons that come in newspapers and magazines are also available free online. Given the speed of printers, it only takes a few moments to print off coupons off the Internet.
There are also different types of coupons. Some will save you a percentage on the goods you purchase. These are known as rebate coupons. Other coupons are BOGO free otherwise known as ?Buy One Get One free? coupons. When you buy one product featured on these coupons, you will save the full price on the next item. This is quite common when dealing with caf? and restaurant coupons where you are able to quite regularly acquire free meals or half price meals.
There are also coupons that give away freebies. These are few and far between but when they are available you need to use them ASAP! These occur frequently for food free samples and beauty products where companies try to attract to you use their products. These obviously are the best type of coupons as no money or purchase needs to change hands for you to get your hands on free stuff. When these coupons come about it is recommended that you print them off straight away as they often have short availability lifespans. You can find many great coupons at Coupons.com, FreeStuff4Free.com and CoolSavings.com. These 3 sites offer many brand and quality name coupons that you can use to help save you cash.
Do not go with name brands if you do not have to. This is often said but people get sucked in by marketing and nice looking packaging. Many of the groceries or foods that you buy in a tin, or the frozen foods isle are all made by the same parent company but have different looking labels. Look closely at the ingredients and not brand names. If you can get the same ingredients for less, purchase the cheaper item.
If after following any of the above advice, you are not saving money, then you are doing something very very wrong! Using coupons is the freshest way to save you hard earned money.
