Will China 2012s Olympic Gold?

I know it’s early to say who will win the trampolines gold in London in 2012, I am just trying to let people know let’s get excited Olympic games are not far off. One of the biggest thing happened in the UK after 1966’s World cup. This will be a great year for sports as European Championship will also be held on 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

In 2000, trampolinining became a part of Olympic games, in which gymnasts from different countries perform their acrobatic skills. Twists, pike jumps, front and back somersaults are few acrobats. Twists and somersaults are certainly the hard jumps while trampolining. For many years Russian athletes ruled acrobats but now they have been taken over by China. Last Olympics China beat USA to take home most gold medals. China finish top with 51 gold medals and USA took away 36 gold medals in second position. 15 gold medals is a massive difference. This is a massive improvement from China.

Hence the kids in China are practicing trampoline jumps on whatever size they can afford from 8ft trampolines to 10ft trampolines. It is great to see that children are getting into a sport which has only started few years ago. Its the success of the nation in the Olympics that is getting these kids interested in these sports.

In UK kids are only focused on playing football and some play cricket occasionally. Even if they start from when they are kids when they get to the national level they cannot perform as we have seen from this year’s World cup. I am not sure who is this down to but this is not right. Though we have to realise that China has massive population so they will eventually find talented people for different games. I still China will win more gold medals in 2012 Olympic in London may be even more than 51.
