Few cruise lines did a research done in the UK shows that people over the age of 40 like going on luxury cruises than any one else. Seems like all of M4 corridor likes going on cruises. I am only joking. This research has been going since 2008 June because the cruise lines wanted to figure their target audience out for marketing purpose. Yes the research did take 2 years but now they know and understand their market and their target audience.
The research shows 80% audience were the age of 40 years and over. Remaining 20% were children and people under 40. 0.25% from that 20% were people from age 20 to 30, which is very surprising to be honest. At that age people are at University and after that they racing to get a good job and trying to make it big in the World. 20 to 30 is the time when you have to work very hard to get somewhere in your life, no time for cruise holidays and also don’t think if you have money then either. After University most of us are on debt from student accounts and also student loans that we borrow.
People over 40 have had few years to save money or they are obviously doing well in your life. As you get more experience you tend to get job offers with more money, then you can save for luxury cruises. The research was very interest, which was done by msc cruises and windstar cruises , to find their target market and audience.
I work in a travel industry so this knowledge is great for me. Now I know who to recommend luxury cruises and who to recommend short trips. Hope this post was useful for you too.

When the summer comes several people are looking to go on luxury cruises. They like to go on a cruise to Mediterranea, Caribbean and South America. In UK the weather has been pretty good this year and it surely looks like we will be having a great summer. Even if we have a good summer people are still looking to go on holiday. It has become a habit because of terrible summers previously.
In the summer of 2010 the cruise line’s research shows that many people prefer going towards the Caribbean for cruising. Not so long ago few cruise lines did a research such as silversea cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Princess Cruises and fred olsen cruises shows that Caribbean has been a huge favourite for most people. And in second it is the Mediterranean cruise.
The above cruise lines have fantastic and luxurious cruises. The services they provide is outstanding. The entire trip would be full of luxury, pleasure and fun, so this will a journey to remember. You can enjoy shopping in mini shopping centres they have inside the cruise, there are also few bars where you can enjoy few drinks. The scene of the sunrise and sunset from the cruise is fabulous.
Caribbean is famous for its beaches, weather and resorts. This is the place to go if you are looking for a luxurious holiday. Just imagine you being under the warm sun, next to the sea relaxing on the sandy beach with rum cocktail in my hand. But its a shame I can’t be there because I have no more holidays from work. I went to one of the Caribbean island St.Vincent few years ago for my best friend’s wedding. This is where Pirate of the Caribbean was filmed. It was just fabulous being there, I do did not want to come back.
