We all want to put aside money in this economic climate when we buy anything, and we routinely look for the cheaper option before we purchase, but receiving something for free is definitely the best option. Imagine if you got something you did not pay for, what feelings does it elicit? Getting something like a sample of your favorite cologne gives way to a nice warm feeling inside so how much more when you get something on a much more larger scale. Everyone wants something for free, even the rich you still feel the joy when getting something for free. Take the Oscars as an example. All the people that attend are filthy rich yet enjoy the pleasures of taking home show bags that are valued more than the average income of an American.
What people do not realize is that the Internet is full of free stuff ready for the taking from the everyday consumer. In fact, many will be shocked when they discover how much free samples can be found and taken advantage of.

It’s actually going to be so much easier than people may have thought. There are many places on the Internet where you can find freebies. The best places are probably specialty web sites scrounge the net and pull together free stuff as a collective. Internet users increase everyday and therefore it makes good business sense to increase the use of the Net as the medium for advertising. Hence the number of freebies offered and hot deals are increasing on a daily basis. This also provides users the comfort of searching for freebies without leaving the security of their home. With the ease provided by the Net, anyone can now participate in the contests and win cash prizes, get free coupons or even get a great hot deal when you buy anything.

With the ever increasing use of free stuff as a form of advertising by businesses, there is also an mounting number of scammer who prey on the needs and wants of Internet surfers signing up for freebies. Therefore this editorial will try to lend some helpful tips in getting free samples without compromising your online security. There is nothing worse than finding out that you have a criminal record for something you haven’t committed. Or finding your bank account empty because some scammer has somehow left a Trojan horse virus on your computer, stealing your passwords to your checking accounts.
You should be wary about where you give out your personal information online. The first tip I offer is that the most personal details that should be given out is your name (preferably Christian only), postal address and email address. If any freebies call for your credit card number or phone number, you should be extra cautious. Your credit card could be scammed very quickly and you may start receiving unwanted telemarketing calls from companies you inadvertently have allowed to contact through the terms and conditions.
