Talk and Act
Many English students want to improve their ESL composition skills. But here is the problem. Most students don’t know how to improve their writing . Some people think good grammar is the same as good writing. Yes, grammar is important. But, grammar is only one skill. Students need six more skills to write good sentences, paragraphs, essays, business reports and even email letters.
To improve English writing abilities, you have to study and practice seven skills . At ESLWRITING.ORG we call these The Seven Writing Rules.
1. Editing
You wrote a essay . Are you finished? No. Now you have to edit your writing. To become a better writer, you have to be good at rewriting.
2. Clear Idea
Good writing has an idea. The reader can understand your idea. To write clear ideas you should be able to create two types of sentences: a thesis and a topic sentence.
3. Logical Structure
Writing is like a puzzle. You have to put the pieces together. Good essay skills create logical structure. When someone reads your work, everything makes sense . To write logically, you need to have a beginning and end; understand the purpose of a paragraph; and organize a paragraph.
4. Have Style
A writer’s style is like a fingerprint. Everybody has one but they are all different. How can you make your writing more interesting? Find your unique style – or voice – so that the reader knows how you feel about a subject.
5. Word Power
Words are tools. Tools are used to build something . Like a carpenter who uses a hammer to build a table. But there are many kinds of hammers. Big and small. Light and heavy.
A good writer chooses the right word for any situation. Words create images . To become a better writer, improve your word power with synonyms, antonyms and emotional verbs.
6. Smooth Sentences
Good sentences are like music. Both have a rhythm . They also have a variety of sounds. Good sentences sound smooth and clear when you read them aloud. To become a better writer, you’ll need to be familiar with these concepts: syllables, rhyme, alliteration and variation.
7. Oops.Grammar
Good writers use good basic skills. These are the things like punctuation, capitalization, spelling and grammar. Yes, grammar is important. Surprise! But, it is not the only writing trait you need to become a better writer.

One of the most excellent benefits of Tutor jobs Chelsea, no doubt, the ratio of teachers to students. With tutoring centres, you just have one lone person instructing dozens of students. With all the topics to cover in just a few hours, how can the tuition teacher solve the individual needs of every student?
Whereas with personal home tutoring, one tutor is assigned to one person. The student will obtain 100% of the tutor’s efforts and time
That being said, there are certain number of students or parents who specially want to find a teacher who is experienced in group tutoring. In exchange for one-to-one tutoring, the student opts for teaching together with a group of friends.
Why might someone choose group tutoring sessions over one-to-one tutoring sessions?
One important reason might be the sense of learning among a group of close friends. From time to time, facing studies can sense daunting by oneself. If the student and his/her buddies attend the tutor’s lessons together, they can build a feeling of camaraderie where they enhance and spur each other to study harder and do their best. They might even improve some healthy, friendly competition among themselves to see who can master the subject best!
This also containes the times when the teacher isn’t around – after all, the teacher can’t spend all the day round! If a group of students have been learning together under the tutor like Maths tutors South Kensington, then they will quite easily be able to discuss what they have learnt and do practice exercises together during their free time.
One more reason can be summed up in the saying: ‘Two heads are better than one.’ From time to time, a student might not suppose he or she has any question to ask the tutor during the lesson. But, one of the student’s friends might have a question to ask – and every body will gain from listening as the tutor answers the question. With some friends attending the group tutoring session, there will be more minds pondering the lesson from various sides.
On that note, there are several teaching ways created to hold students interested in the lesson that simply can’t be carried out without a group of students. For example, the tutor like Maths tutor Chelsea might ask for thoughts and solutions from the students, or initiate a group debate. Combining this aspect with ‘friendly competition’ spoken above, the tutor can divide the students into teams and have them challenge one another in a quiz session – something that doesn’t function quite the same way with only one student!
